Facilitate your process with long life service Caltherm fluids

In the chemical industry, the manufacturing process is conditioned by energy input and temperature control. The heat produced by the industrial heaters is conveyed by a heat transfer fluid to the synthesis reactors.

The choice of a suitable fluid is crucial and depends on different parameters: its volume in the installation, the position of the boiler and the diameter of the pipes.
Traditionally used as thermal fluids, water and glycoled water present significant technical contraints. Indeed, the use of water at high temperature leads to a significant increase in pressure (for example, 13 bars reached at 195°C). Moreover, the water can also be a source of hazard if it is accidently in contact with not compatible reactive mixture.   

The wide Caltherm range precisely meets these requirements of the chemical industry, especially with anhydrous fluids. In addition, Caltherm products due to their excellent thermal properties, guarantee precise temperature control during synthesis reactions that generate exothermic and/or endothermic phenomena.

For your installations, Caltherm heat transfer fluids are suitable: they ensure their longevity by offering excellent resistance at high temperatures and they adapt to their configuration thanks to an appropriate viscosity over a very wide temperature range (-110°C to 400°C).
Caltherm solutions are the perfect answer that combines efficiency, durability and safety of your installations. 

Finally, as Caltherm thermal fluids are chemically inert involving a low toxicity, they meet the chemical sector health, safety and environment requirements.
For example, in synthesis processes where operating temperatures are around 260°C, we recommend synthetic or silicone-based fluids with flash points higher than operating temperatures to reduce risks within the installations.
